HIGH SCHOOL RACING
HIGH SCHOOL RACING
The high school program allows Arizona students in grades 9-12 to train weekly. They compete in Pacific Coast Interscholastic Sailing Association regattas in California roughly 6 times per school year. It offers coaching, boat use, and a super fun team of youth sailors to bond with. Racers from the high school program have recorded impressive results in one of the most competitive divisions in the country. They have raced in Point Loma, Newport Beach, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Monterey, Alameda, and more. No experience is needed to join the team!
The Club Flying Junior sailboat
The high school program practices on our fleet of 9 FJ sailboats. FJs are two-person sailboats, mainly raced in high school and college. These boats have a mainsail and a jibsail. They are easy to learn and perfect for all levels of sailors who want to prove themselves in scholastic racing.
Participants will learn how to sail, develop racing skills, and travel to regattas with an amazing group of kids.
