Leadership Team
Teague Walker
Vice President
Teague learned to sail at the Manasquan River Yacht Club in New Jersey. He continued racing at the Mantoloking Yacht Club, where he progressed from Optis to 420s. Teague has been integral to growing participation in the Arizona Sailing Club. As the Vice President, he is the second in command and is a sociable leader for any obstacle the club encounters. Teague is a junior at Brophy College Prep, where he plays on their tennis team. He also loves fishing.
Kilian Walker
Director of Finance
Kilian has raced sailboats at the Mantoloking Yacht Club in New Jersey since he was 7. He has spent most of his time in Optis and Lasers. He is currently a freshman at Brophy College Prep and is in his first year of high school sailing. Kilian manages the budgeting of fees for the Arizona Sailing Club. Outside of sailing, you’ll find Kilian on the football field, managing his sports memorabilia business, or buying, fixing, and reselling bikes.
Lukas Villela
Director of Operations
Lukas learned to sail when he was a sophomore as one of the first sailors in the Arizona Sailing Club. Over the past 3 years, he has developed into one of the most skilled crews in the entire club, throwing textbook roll tacks on the regular. Lukas is a senior at Brophy College Prep and is a member of their tennis team. Lukas runs multiple small businesses and does a fantastic job of making sure that all of the Arizona Sailing Club practices and regattas run efficiently.
Stefano Wood
Director of Media
Stefano is a junior and tight end on the Brophy College Prep Varsity Football Team. Bringing his football strength, he is a perfect heavy wind crew. Stefano is also a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan. For the Arizona Sailing Club, Stefano manages the social media accounts and regular communication. Stefano brings lively energy to the team and is someone who everyone always loves to have around.
West Walker
Founder & President
West learned to sail on New Jersey’s Manasquan River at age 7. After falling in love with the sport, he moved to a more advanced racing program at the Mantoloking Yacht Club. He competed in the national Opti and C420 circuits. He has raced Lasers, M15s, and most recently, his new E-Scow, in the BBYRA series. West coaches juniors at the Bay Head Yacht Club during his summers. He is a senior at Brophy College Prep, where he started their sailing club. When not on the water surfing or sailing, you’ll find West practicing for the upcoming season on the courts, as he is captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. For the Arizona Sailing Club, West oversees all financial, operational, and developmental decisions. He makes monthly schedules and develops relationships with Arizona’s greater sailing community.
